Tone Brewery 18-Watter Marshall Clone

After hearing about the Marshall 18 Watt amp on the BBS, I decided to build a Tone Brewery Module clone. I simplified it to serve purely as a basic amp. So, there's no tremelo and only the high gain input. The input stage and power amp closely match the schematic found over on the 18Watter forum. Pictures are below. If there is interest in my layout or schematic, I can draw those up. But, there's nothing to it since I simply copied the schematics and layout available over at the 18Watter forum. Sounds samples are coming soon. This amp sounded great on the first power up.

Chassis Pics

Here's the top view. Since there's only an input, volume and tone, I decided to use the short end as the front. This will make for a very compact cabinet to hold the PSM and 18watter.

Here's the 18watter sitting next to a PSM. The amp coffin is done and shown below.

And finally the guts of the chassis. I used a turret board with a layout pretty much taken right from the 18Watter forum. Of course, the tremelo stuff is ripped out.

Amp Coffin

I made a new Amp Coffin for this since it needs to accept two 6x9x3 chassis. This one has been finished off completely because I'll be taking it ino the studio Wednesday.

And the back...

Sound Samples

Here's some quick samples of the neck and bridge, respectively.

Neck Sample. Single coil. Sound is controled only by the pick hand with no knob turning.

Bridge Sample. Humbucker. Pretty much just wailing on it. Same setting on the amp as the neck sample. Just hit the switch in the guitar.
